Search Instructions

Step 1: Search by Service and/or Keyword

You may search our database of providers and services by searching the "Services" list, using your own "Keyword(s)", or both.

To search for a particular type of service, select one service category from the yellow drop-down box. (Click your mouse on the yellow box, and it will drop down a list of choices.) Your selection will appear in the "service" box. To search for all services, leave the selection list box blank. You may also search the database using the "Keyword(s)" function (without specifying a type of service). To search this way, type a word or words into the "Keyword(s)" box. To search on more than one word, type them into the box separated by a space; do not use commas. E.g.: alcohol elderly. For exact phrases, put quotation marks around the key phrase. E.g.: "soup kitchen".

For the most narrowed-down search, you may search using both the "Service" list and the "Keyword" function. Your results will contain only providers and services that fit both criteria.

Step 2: Select a Region Or Select your ZIP code

First choose your search type: 'region'  or 'distance from zip code' (region is the default choice). 

Choosing 'region' will show a map of Massachusetts, a checkbox for all of Massachusetts, as well as a drop down list of other states.  To narrow your search by  a region of Massachusetts (western Mass, Boston area, etc.), click on one of the areas on the map. The selection will appear in the "selected region" box below the map.

To search all of Massachusetts, click the "Choose all of Massachusetts" checkbox.

To search for services in another state, select a state from the "Choose Another State" dropdown list.

If you click the 'distance by zip code' search, the map of Massachusetts will disappear and in its place will appear a box to enter a zip code and a drop down list to choose the number of miles.

Enter a Massachusetts zip code in the box and then choose the number of miles around that zip code that you would like to search.  For example entering 01180 and choosing 5 miles will find programs that are located within 5 miles of 01880.

Step 3: Click Search

Once you have specified all of your criteria, click the "search" button and your search results will be displayed. If you want to start over, click the "clear" button and your criteria will be cleared.
